00 Tarangire National Park

Day: 1

After breakfast, you will get into a 4×4 Land Cruiser safari vehicle, ready to depart for a safari to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park has the highest population of elephants in Tanzania, comprising herds of up to 300 elephants who scratch the dry river bed for underground streams. There are also the migratory wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, impalas, gazelles, hartebeest and eland. It is the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem. It is a buffet for predators and the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as the stately fringe-eared oryx and peculiar long-necked gerenuk are regularly observed. After a whole day game drive, you will be transferred to your booked lodge in the evening for dinner, a warm shower and an overnight stay. Day: 2

After breakfast, we descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a morning, half-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely populated African wildlife areas in the world, with an estimated 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, Ngorongoro Crater is one of Tanzania’s most famous and interesting national parks because here you can find the greatest number of different animal species;- Include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is the dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard We will have a picnic lunch in the crater before returning to Arusha, where our African safari adventure will end.
